Well I have the bonus mission pack and don't mind more people being allowed to get it.
I doesn't matter to me at all if every gw player in the world is allowed to buy it.

Signed

Anet said they were considering other methods of aquiring the mission pack when I asked them some months ago anyway.

Oh, and by the way, me defending Anet is something you dont see much of these days, but in this case they actually havnt done anything wrong. It was well documented how to get The BMP unless you live in a black hole or cant read. You had enough time to buy a few character slots to get free missions. They havnt actually done anything wrong at all.

This is just a petition thread, no one [intelligent] said anything about Anet doing something wrong. It's simply a request that some of the community would like to see happen.

Phantom if you read some peoples posts, they are angry at Anet for not allowing them to buy the BMP. But in The first place they were complaining about having to pay for it using the online store.

Actually, you only need to read the OP

I had my choice to spend (or not) my money in the on-line store but chose instead to buy the boxed EOTN version...I certainly didn't need skills unlocks nor 3 more mules; so, it was MY choice to spend (or not, in this case) the qualifying amount of money during the time frame stated to get the BMP...and how many times was it posted here and on the GW site what it took to get this promo??? We all had plenty enough time to decide. I didn't get the BMP and don't really have any regrets of not getting it.

We all have choices...live with the ones you've made!

Everyone had the chance to get it and it was free. You only had to buy gwen via the online store and you got the BMP free. The only people that didnt want it were those complaining about the price, and now they want to pay for something that was free :-/

No no, read her complaint post a few posts down. She complains about not having enough money to have bought the BMP, but now wants to pay $40 for it.

Oh man I don't care about the BMP because I bought my EoTN online, but APPARENTLY I'm just now finding out that the PHYSICAL game comes w/ a box and manuals!!! So, I'm petitioning to Anet to send me a box free because I didn't know and it's not fair.

See what I did there?

Yeah I heard the box has cool pictures. I'm not really worried about the manuals, but man those glossy pictures... My life is not complete unless I have a cardboard box like everyone else.

*sigh... i would really like a hard copy of the information. my dlup downloads ~1-2kb/sec, therefore... having to download all content for gwen and bmp would take... much time, and if i try to use the internet for any other purpose, or use a phone call using my dlup, well then...

Firstly. The BMP is a FREE bonus. I do not want Anet to resell it.
Secondly: The BMP was a LIMITED time offer. Just like how the Collectors Editions of GW were limited. Just like how Pre-order sets were limited.
Thirdly: They have given plenty of WARNING ahead of time that once its over, its OVER.

Its like those free gifts or doorbuster bonuses on Black Friday sales. You get cool nifty stuff if you get there early and once its all gone, its GONE.

---------------------
HOWEVER...im not a cruel heartless bitch as some people might like to think.

I think a good idea for Anet would be something along the lines of making another special online store deal to get the BMP as a bonus once again. Maybe a large scale contest? Monthly Xunlai thing?

I DO NOT CONDONE SELLING IT. I got mine for free. You shouldn't have to pay, thats not fair.

I DO CONDONE MORE WAYS TO GET IT.
I don't feel that's an accurate description of what happened.

The BMP was being given away free as part of a promotion. You buy something, you get an additional gift. That does not mean that the BMP cost nothing for ANet to make, nor should it prevent them from making more profit from it in the future.

Also, it was the promotion that was for a limited time only, not the BMP, so comparing it to the Collector's Editions of the past games is not accurate.

Your idea of a new promotion to get the BMP is a great idea though. It would be simpler for them to just sell it (remember, a lot of people were upset because they didn't see anything in the online store they wanted to buy and a similar promotion would be just as objectionable to them), but you are right in saying there is more than one way to make the BMP available to others.

Oh yeah man, I totally get it. Not only should Anet give you the missions even though you didn't meet the requisites, but they should spring for getting you and everyone else with a sub-par connection a faster internet, since it's obviously their fault.

I'm with you, man

Where do you live, the Antarctic? Broadband is CHEAP-O nowadays. I had an offer from talk talk - £7.99 pm for 8 meg, I had an offer from virgin media - £4.99 pm for 2 meg. But I pay for highly convenient mobile broadband on t mobile so dont need a landline.

Owning a cardboard box with fancy pictures on it is overrated.

Getting four missions with customised mursaat hammers is UNDERATED! It should cost $250 not $40. And it should cost that much because I am poor.
